This is a good and rather unique rye. Instead of the typical 95/5 (rye/ malted barley) mash bill this rye uses a 80/20 recipe. Thus it is a little less spicy and minty.
Appearance: the color is an inviting burnished copper
Nose: caramel and a bit of rye spices
Palate: good mouth feel; caramel, vanillla, and mint
Finish: oak and lite peppery spice with lingering mint. It is not drying and of medium duration
