Created to honor 150 years of Casa Sauza, this special Extra Añejo tequila is a polished tribute to one of Jalisco’s historic houses. Don Cenobio Sauza founded La Perseverancia in 1873; the anniversary edition looks back on that legacy through long aging, careful blending, and a presentation made for collectors.
The tequila brings together 100% Blue Weber agave distillates matured in American white oak, with components ranging from four to ten years old. That patient barrel time creates an intense amber color and a slow, layered profile in which citrus and mature agave meet polished wood, gentle sweetness, and structured tannin.
Nose: Citrus peel, seasoned oak, cooked agave, and soft baking spice.
Palate: Silky and gently sweet with vanilla, caramelized agave, and fine wood tannin.
Finish: Long, elegant, and warming with lingering oak and citrus.
Style: Extra Añejo tequila
Agave: 100% Blue Weber agave
Maturation: Blend of tequilas aged four to ten years in American white oak
Strength: 40% ABV / 80 proof
Release: 150th Anniversary commemorative edition
This is a tequila to pour slowly and serve neat in a tasting glass. Let it rest for several minutes, then follow the shift from citrus and agave to vanilla, oak, and spice. A few drops of water can soften the tannins, but elaborate mixing would hide the story the long maturation was designed to tell.
