The distillery was established in 2018 by Justin and Cara King, who bring a blend of distilling expertise and agricultural knowledge to their whiskey-making process.

This particular bourbon is aged in barrels that have previously held maple syrup, and the barrels are then toasted to enhance the rich, sweet flavors before the whiskey is reintroduced for further aging. This method imparts a deep, warm sweetness, with tasting notes that include hints of apple cider, maple-glazed donuts, and chai spices​.

The palate brings forward flavors like charred bacon and glazed ham, finishing with a rich and warming spice​. The whiskey has an ABV of 58.8%, making it a cask-strength offering, which means it is bottled directly from the barrel without dilution, giving it a robust and full-bodied character.
