The Blackened x Willett Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey is a standout collaboration between Metallica's whiskey brand, Blackened, and the renowned Willett Distillery. This limited-edition release is part of Blackened's "Masters of Whiskey" series, and it truly exemplifies craftsmanship. The whiskey is a blend of high-rye and low-rye mash bills, aged for an average of 6.5 years, and then finished in Madeira casks for up to 14 weeks. To add a unique twist, the finishing process includes Blackened’s proprietary “Black Noise” technique, where Metallica's music is played at low frequencies, causing vibrations that intensify the interaction between the whiskey and the wood.
